Yesterday was my BSC2 book release party and signing, at Rocketship in Brooklyn! My friend Abby and I signed books for well over two hours, as kids and grownups alike continued to pour in the doors to escape the rain and check out the comics. It was a wonderful afternoon!

Our hosts, Alex and Mary, did an amazing job of promoting the event. They made this huge poster to hang in the window of their store, and they brought flyers to shops and cafes all over the neighborhood.

As promised, the cookies, ice cream and coffee were plentiful and delicious. The kids loved the snacks, and Abby and I couldn't resist the treats ourselves. This was dangerous, because we were sitting right next to the ice cream. :) Mmm, chocolate...

People were in the store before we were even set up, waiting for the event to begin, and they kept coming even after we were officially done.

Kids love comics!

A joke for my editors, playing off the theme of Rocketship's name: Baby-sitters in Space!

It was great, kids were sitting all over the place reading comic books. Doesn't get much better than that, folks!

A bunch of our friends came, too! Thanks for coming out, guys!

Big thanks to Rocketship for hosting this event. I can't wait to go back!

It looks like you got a photo of my buddy Armando's girlfriend Lauren, and the two little girls she tutors. 9th one down.
Congrats on the book, they just keep getting better.
-Steve!
